Friends, it's been grand, but we've decided that it's time for us to go. Big Bear has played its final show, and soon we will be no more.
Also, most of us are still musically doin' thangs in one form or another, so keep your ears out!
We'll continue to update this space/site if anything interesting happens.
We're heading down to the Ocropolis in Brooklyn this week to record an EP! See you on the other side.
Remember all that amazing stuff we said we were going to be selling on that tour we did in July? Well, now you can buy said amazing stuff from our website! Vinyl, CDs, MP3 downloads, even t-shirts. Crazy, but true.
We've been holding out on you, news-wise! But so, finally here are all the exciting new things:
(2) We're going on tour this month with Child Bite in support of that very split 7". The first (Boston), last (Detroit), and Bloomington (7/16) shows on the tour will be record-release shows, wherein the door price gets you a copy of the 7".
(4) In addition to the new 7", we'll also be selling -- for the very first time -- copies of our second full-length, "Under the Beach", as well as a new t-shirt design featuring Farhad's Thirty Birdies.
(5) We have a couple of new songs that Ryan from Ho-Ag really likes.
Happy New Year! As a token of our love, have this gigantic mp3 of our emergency acoustic set from August '07 (explanation from the related news item below).
Meet Farhad, our new drummer. Also, come see us play this fall!
Happy Valentine's Day! With love, we give you this article about us in the Boston Phoenix.
December 2007 / January 2008
Happy New Year! We've added four new songs to our myspace page and you shouldn't hesitate to go give a listen.
A thousand apologies to those of you who recently attempted to sign up for our mailing list and failed. All should be well now!
We're on tour! Like, right now! Herein, we will attempt to keep some kind of tour diaryish thing chronicling our exploits.
David (Altman, bass guitar) fractured both arms riding his bike last week. Thus, our portion of August 6th's blurstrock explosion with Ketman and They Shoot Horses Don't They? at the Middle East has turned into a five-man acoustic jam sesh. Come out and hear the new stuff on an acoustic guitar and a piano-ish sounding keyboard, dogz!
Also, we are going on tour in September. Come say hi!
